I was DJing in a bar in San Francisco. Playing some post punk sounding, New Zealand-based, DFA Records band called Shocking Pinks. I’m sure I found them on one of my regular searches for new music online, on (cough) file share, or wherever one finds such things. I had been drawn to this track, “You Can Make Me Feel Bad,” that basically just repeats the line “you can make me feel bad, if you want to” for the majority of the song.
